OUR PROGRAM
THRIVING OUTDOORS
WHAT are we offering?
We offer inclusive, outdoor, inquiry-based, experiential learning and fun!
We will explore and observe our natural world through the seasons and incorporate everything nature has to offer. Each class session will include structured, teacher-guided invitations for hands-on learning with reading, singing, games, yoga, journaling, and unstructured time to dig, run and explore the garden. We are outside, every day, ALL day, no matter the weather!

WHO are we looking for?
Garden and forest adventurers 2.5-5 years old! Join us for fun in the garden, woods, beach, sun, wind, and rain.

WHERE are we located?
Little Garden Learning is located in an 8500-square-foot home garden in the Crownhill Neighborhood of Seattle. We use the garden space as our home base. There are multiple covered, open-air areas with inside facilities for toileting & hand-washing. We extend our learning spaces to include the woods, trails, and beach in and around Carkeek Park.

WHAT do we believe?
We believe a natural, outdoor environment where children of all abilities can explore nature with their senses makes happy and healthy kids. Throughout the year, we will foster and model curiosity of the natural world by observing the seasons' passing in our community and green spaces.
We honor the Indigenous Peoples that came before us and those that will follow by respecting all living beings and moving intentionally on the earth.
We believe children will develop a strong sense of place and belonging from their connections with self, nature, and community. We intentionally address social-emotional learning and encourage individual empowerment by always modeling and fostering respect for self and others.
